This winter, the City of Omaha is inviting residents to get involved in a unique and fun initiative: naming the city’s snow plow fleet! From November 20th through December 4th, Omaha residents will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite names provided by plow operators from the winning Street Maintenance District in this year’s Snow Plow Rodeo training event.  VOTE HERE

11th Street and Bancroft Street “Traffic Diverter”

We are evaluating the safety and access impact of restricting access to Bancroft Street at 11th Street for westbound vehicles. This effort aims to reduce the number of westbound vehicles taking a westbound left turn onto 13th Street from Bancroft Street where there is a significantly high number of injury crashes.
Bancroft Street will remain a two-way street, however, Bancroft Street will not be accessible to westbound traffic at 11th Street.
Access can be maintained to all areas via other existing routes for all directions of travel. Access to I-80 and southbound 13th Street will be accessible and encouraged via 10th Street.
